LA-based web 3 agency Kollectiff launches The Wombats in Metaverset


This past week, The Wombats added their first # 1 album- Fix Yourself Not The World– to their fifteen year long career, which already spanned three UK Top 5s! In even bigger news today, The Wombats announced that they will also be meeting their fans in the meta-verse for the first time with the help of Kollectiff, the leading LA-based web3 agency.

This CO2-negative collaboration will include the release of 3,000 unique NFTs that will be ready for Metaverse. The initiative will feature a metaverse-ready avatar and concert, exclusive access to AMAs, live acoustic performances, unheard of B-Sides, rare memorabilia, VIP tickets and more. This decrease will be particularly unique as it will be completely carbon negative, ensuring that all carbon emissions from the coin are offset twenty times. The NFTs can be purchased / embossed on The Wombat’s website for 0.07 ETH from and including 8 February.

While The Wombats is not the first band to enter the meta-verse, this is more than your traditional NFT, because fans and proprietors will have access to a Rubik’s Cube blockchain game that will unlock tons of exclusive utility, unique to The NFT holders. The NFTs will be Metaverse-ready – meaning they are an avatar that can be used in The Sandbox’s decentralized virtual gaming world. All buyers will also receive unique blockchain carbon credits from Moss, the world’s largest environmental platform.

“We look forward to presenting this unique NFT experience to our fans, who will end up with a concert at Kollectiff’s Stadium in Metaversen,” said Dan Haggis, drummer for The Wombats. “Kollectiff helped us create a CO2-neutral NFT because the environment and combating climate change are important to us.

Kollectiff will send holders of NFT carbon credits via AirDrop. Wombats wanted to ensure that this project was good for the Earth, as carbon emissions are a major factor in mining. This project not only offsets carbon emissions but also turns it into a carbon negative NFT collection. When someone beats an NFT in this collection, carbon credit will be purchased. Each mint generates 45 kg of carbon (approximately 135,000 kg in total), so this project will include the purchase of 3,000 tonnes of carbon compensation to make this campaign carbon negative.

After purchasing the NFT, fans will have access to a Rubik’s Cube Blockchain game in Wombat World. The game is like a classic Rubik’s Cube, you have to solve in blockchain to access features and special events so people can get involved in the band. There will be live “Ask Me Anything” with the band, live acoustic performances, rare memorabilia, VIP tour tickets and more for people who own the collectible. Also, B-Sides, which did not make the latest album, will be included as content that can be unlocked in the Rubik’s Cube game.
