VANCOUVER, BC: Friday, Jan. 28. Today’s weather is expected to start out with cloud and fog and then clear up for a sunny afternoon, with a high of 6 C, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada. A fog advisory remains in effect this morning for Metro Vancouver and the western Fraser Valley, including Abbotsford. The agency is warning of reduced visibility and a risk of localized black ice during the early morning period. According to the advisory, dense fog developed during the night, but should clear up near noon.
Overnight, it looks like a few clouds, more fog, and a low of zero and then the rain returns on Saturday afternoon, with a high of 6 C. On Sunday, expect more rain and a high of 7 C. Looking ahead to next week, it starts out with a mix of sun and cloud on Monday followed by sunshine on Tuesday, highs of 6 C both days. Watch for the overnight temperature to drop below zero again on Tuesday night to a low of – 2 C and then some higher-elevation areas of Metro Vancouver could see possible snow flurries on Wednesday and Thursday while other areas could have showers, with highs of 2 C and 3 C, respectively.
