Rahul Walimbe said he had been inside the face and timed his wife in India when the Subaru plowed through the bedroom wall of his Glenmore Park home.
“Everything I heard was a big bang behind me – I turned around and there was a car in my room,” said Mr. Walimbe.
He said he “felt lucky to be alive” after the car missed him by only inches.
“If it happened 10 minutes later, I probably would have slept and the car would have been on top of me.”
The 38-year-old female motorist was arrested, where she returned a positive blood alcohol level reading.
When police tried to talk to her, she allegedly became aggressive and verbally violent towards officers.
She was then taken to St Mary’s Police Station, where she allegedly refused to undergo another breath test.
The woman has been charged with five offenses, including drunk driving and resisting a police officer.
She has received a conditional bail and is due to appear in Penrith Local Court on February 22.
