Do you want your event on the list? Community calendars are made available free of charge to non-profit organizations to keep the public informed about special events and activities. Charity Golf Day

Altona City Rotary Club is holding its 20th annual charity golf day on February 25, 2022. Very Special Kids will be the biggest benefit.

Anzac Day at Newport RSL

The Newport RSL Sub-Branch is looking for expressions of interest from community groups looking to participate in the 2022 Anzac Day Commemoration Services. They seek expressions of interest from groups such as choir groups or technical groups (e.g. with the ability to portray laser images to buildings) to enhance the event. Williamstown is set to have an Anzac Day Dawn Service from 6 p.m. 5:30 a.m., and Newport is set to host an Anzac Day Commemoration service from 5 p.m.


Knitting group

Everyone is welcome to come to the Yarraville or Footscray Library for a weekly knitting group. Registrations are recommended via Eventbrite.


Williamstown Craft Market

The Commonwealth Reserve comes alive on the third Sunday of the month with Williamstown Craft Market. The market boasts over 50 stalls showcasing everything from handmade crafts, home-grown produce and food vendors. There will also be live music. The market takes place from 10.00-16.00.


Conversation cafe

The Conversation Cafe is back at Footscray and Braybrook Library! It gives people the chance to meet new people and practice English conversational skills in a relaxed and friendly environment.


Diabetes Support Group

The Westgate Diabetes Support Group meets on the first Tuesday of each month at the Altona Bowling Club at 10.00.

Heritage hiking

Enjoy a leisurely two-hour walk around historic Williamstown and nearby suburbs with guide John. Hiking starts at 9.20 every Tuesday outside the Visitor Information Center in Nelson Place.

Do you play trumpet, flute or lower brass instruments? The Hobsons Bay City Band is looking for musicians to join their community band. Exercises are held on Mondays from kl. 19.30 at Newport Lakes Primary School, Elizabeth Street, Newport.
