Fulham fan dies after having cardiac arrest at match in London

The Fulham fan died after suffering a cardiac arrest during a championship match against Blackpool.

The championship game at Craven Cottage in west London was stopped for more than 40 minutes as doctors rushed to the stands to help Paul Parish.

Mr. Parish was treated at the Hammersmith End stand before being rushed to hospital Saturday night.

Despite the best efforts of doctors, he was pronounced dead.

The match, which was put on pause after just 15 minutes so Mr Parish could get medical attention, ended 1-1.

“It is with enormous sadness that we inform fans of the death of supporter Paul Parish,” Fulham said in a statement. “Our condolences go out to Paul’s loved ones.”
