New FFVII ‘projects’ teased along with well-known games on its anniversary

In honor of Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary, Square Enix shared messages from FFVII re-recording Creative Director Tetsuya Nomura and producer Yoshinori Kitase. (As a reminder, Nomura was also the original game’s character designer, and Kitase acted as director.) In both developers’ messages, they talked about current games and teased further FFVII projects. There are no details of what they could be, only teasing that there are “new developments.”

Some new ones FFVII games appeared prior to the 25th anniversary. FFVII re-recording appeared on PS4 in 2020. This first part covers the introductory events of Midgar. Then Intergrade upgrade with additional Yuffie story appeared on PS5 and PC in 2021. FFVII The first soldiera battle royale spin-off that also debuted in 2021.
